Nelson Dental Practice is a full-service family dental office. We treat patients of all ages—from young children having their first dental checkup to adults and seniors.
The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends healthy adults and children visit the dentist twice a year (every 6 months) for routine cleanings and evaluations. Some patients with specific gum care needs may require more frequent visits, which our team will recommend based on your personalized care plan.
Dental anxiety (odontophobia) is very common, and you are not alone. Our compassionate team specializes in gentle, patient-centered care. Please let us know if you feel nervous—we take extra time to explain procedures, work at your pace, and offer comfort options to ensure a relaxed experience.
The American Dental Association (ADA) no longer routinely recommends prophylactic antibiotics for all patients with total joint replacements. Because unnecessary antibiotic use carries health risks, we evaluate each case individually. Please inform us of your joint replacement history so we can coordinate with your orthopedic surgeon if needed.
We highly recommend an electric toothbrush with soft bristles, as it removes plaque more effectively with less effort. Pair it with a fluoride toothpaste to strengthen enamel and prevent tooth decay. Our hygienists will happily demonstrate optimal brushing techniques during your cleaning.
Yes! We offer convenient, free ground-level parking right in front of our Manassas office entrance at 9216 Centreville Rd.
We accept and file claims for most major PPO dental insurances and are a Delta Dental Premier Provider. For out-of-pocket expenses, we accept cash, personal checks, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex), FSA/HSA cards, and CareCredit® financing.
